Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions. If you don’t find the answers you are looking for, contact us and we will be happy to talk through all of your specific questions.

  1. 1
How far in advance can trips be booked?

Trips can be booked from one year to one month in advance. Most are booked one month out.

  2. 2
Is the boat safe for children? Is there a minimum age requirement?

KOKO is a family-friendly boat, and children are welcome. Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult when on board.

  3. 3
Does the boat accommodate guests with disabilities? Are there physical considerations?

Unfortunately, KOKO is not wheelchair accessible. There are stairs to navigate when getting to your room or getting outside and into the water.

  4. 4
Is a deposit required to book a trip? Are credit cards accepted?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment, along with APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), is due at least one week before the charter starts. No provisioning will be done until the APA is paid and cleared. Credit cards are accepted.

  5. 5
What is the seasonality of the boat?

KOKO operates 10 months out of the year, with two months on hard for maintenance.

  6. 6
How do guests tip the crew?

Tipping is always optional and should be based on the service received while on board. Suggested gratuities are $3000 for the week (that’s $1000 per crew member). All gratuities are combined and divided equally between crew members.
